Do I need ID for admission?

Yes. Be prepared to show ID. Be prepared to have to show ID even if you think you look your age. No one under 21 will be admitted to events that have a 21+ age requirement.
Do I need to have my ticket for admission?

No one will be admitted without a ticket. If you have left your ticket home, it is advisable to either return to your home, have a friend go by and get it or call us an alert us to the problem. You will need to buy a new ticket and after the event send the duplicate ticket to us and we will refund one ticket.
Is it better to come early?

A special effort has been made to have the doors open early in order to help move ticket holders through the line as quickly as possible. Your event may say that it runs from 9pm to 4am, but may also say doors open at 8pm. We highly recommend that you come early in order to avoid a later rush or crunch to get in. Check your ticket or the website in order to determine when the doors are opening.

Bottle Gratuity

What is bottle service?

Bottle service is a feature offered with our more premium ticket packages. The purchase of these premium tickets with bottle service includes a guaranteed table at the venue. Depending on group size, predetermined bottles of liquor and/or champagne with accompanying drink mixers are brought to your table by a server. Bottle service is a great option for a more intimate party experience with your friends with the ability to make drinks as you wish at your table.
What is gratuity on bottle service and how does it work?

Bottle service gratuity is a mandatory charge paid to the venue’s staff on the night of the event. It is NOT included in the ticket price. The gratuity is either a flat fee per bottle or a percentage of the cost of the bottle (which varies between venues.)
What is open bar?

Open bar includes premium liquor, wine (red and white), beer (varied domestic and imports), drink mixers, soda and water. The cost of drinks are included in the price of your ticket for the specified time. Specific brands for open bars can vary depending on venues and sponsorship agreements. Joonbug does not guarantee any specific brands will be available.
What is the typical amount for the mandatory "bottle gratuity"?

A typical bottle gratuity ranges from $35 to $75 per bottle to your server depending on the venue. The etiquette and rules of bottle service require that you bring a credit card or cash to the event. The Bottle Hostess will ask for the card or cash prior to authorizing your bottle set up. All venues have a rule that the "gratuity" is mandatory and if the "gratuity" is not paid, the server and the establishment do not have to provide the bottles. If a customer refuses to pay the gratuity they will not be entitled to any refund and will not be served with the complimentary bottles as per the ticket details for their event. However, they are always welcome to attend the Open Bar.

Will I be able to get a taxi?

Yes. In New York taxis will be out all through the night.
Will I be able to park my car?

Yes. Parking lots will be open. However, make sure you select a lot that does not close.
Will I see the ball drop on live feed?

Coat Check

Will I be able to check my coats?

All venues have facilities for coat check. It is the policy of most venues that coats be checked prior to entering the venue. This is for safety purposes. There is typically a small charge to the coat check facility of approximately $5 per coat. Wear a light coat if weather is permitting. Make sure that one member of the party keeps the coat checks in a safe place. Do Not...Do Not... leave any valuables in your coat. As an online ticket service or event producer, the venue is responsible for coat check. We are not responsible for coat check or any claims you may have relating to a lost or damaged coat.

Are the crowds different for NYE?

New Year's Eve is a unique nightlife event. No matter the reputation or typical crowd, on New Year's people come from all over the city, the country and the world to celebrate. We have found that the crowd is usually a mix of people. However, since all the events have an Open Bar, music and dancing, the crowd is usually made up of guests who enjoy a music vibe, great drinks and dancing. We have found that the selection of the right event for a group usually has more to do with location and type of venue...bar, restaurant, club, hotel or private event space. Speak to our friendly Event Managers, if you would like hints on which event is the best for your group.
What is banquet seating?

Banquet seating is generally what exists in restaurants or produced events spaces like ballrooms, lofts, and other unique venues. The typical seating is usually chairs or stools around a table. In the example of a seated VIP ticket, you may be sitting by other groups of people. In the example of a Ultra or Platinum VIP ticket, you will be guaranteed a table with your group.

Dress

How should I dress?

When it says "dress to impress," this means that it is up to you and your friends to decide how you want to impress each other. We can only tell you what most guests wear. They wear anything from dress jeans and sparkly tops, to cocktail dresses and in some very upscale venues ball gowns. Guys wear dressy casual, some wear suits and if black tie optional some wear a tuxedo a particular event has a specific dress standard, see event details for more information. You may find hints, ex. New Year's Eve elegance is a must.

Are there 24 hour restaurants?

Yes. You will be able to find places to eat at any hour. Check the web to browse which restaurants are in the area you are visiting.
Will I be served dinner?

No. A New Year's Eve party may have a complimentary mini buffet or passed hors d'oeuvres, however, it is not a dining event. The ticket purchase price is for admission to the event. The services provided are complimentary. For example the Open Bar is complimentary and is the food served. We suggest that groups wishing to have a dinner go out to a restaurant in the general area prior to the nightlife event. Since doors open at 8pm for most events, you may want to book an early dinner seating at a restaurant of your choice.

What kind of music is played?

Every event for New Year's has a world class DJ performing. The music for this event will be a mix of Hip Hop, Dance, Rock and 80s. There will be no special music orientation.

Ticket

Can a friend pick up my ticket?

A friend can pick up your ticket if your credit card company allows others to pick up your purchase. For example, American Express only allows the card holder to pick up merchandise. Check with your credit card company. If you have faxed back your Ticket Release Agreement and your credit card company allows you to authorize someone to pick up your merchandise we will honor the pick up.
If I do not pick up my ticket, will I still be charged on my credit card?

Similar to a concert ticket or ticket to a Broadway show, your non-refundable ticket, ordered online is charged to your credit card at the point of sale when you submit your order. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to indicated delivery method which is either Pick Up or some sort of delivery: overnight courier service or messenger in the NYC area. If you select an pay for delivery, we will take responsibility to get your ticket to you. Once a doorman or other authorized person signs for your delivery you are fully responsible for the ticket and to bring it with you on the night of the event. All ticket purchasers who indicate Pick Up are agreeing that it is the individual ticket holders responsibility to arrive at our offices during the posted Pick Up times to take physical possession of the actual tickets. If a ticket holder for any reason chooses not to or fails to pick up his/her ticket, these tickets will not be refunded. The tickets will be held for Pick UP by ticket holders until the night of the event. In emergency circumstances, we have arranged for a ticket to be held by the Event Manager the night of the event. What if I lose my ticket?

Similar to a concert ticket or ticket to a Broadway show, your ticket is just like legal tender. If you lose it and have no idea where it may be, you have lost the monetary value of the ticket. In order to be admitted to the event you will need to purchase a new ticket. However, if you know where your ticket is, for example, it was mailed to you and you have traveled to the city where the event is being held and left your ticket home, you must purchase a replacement ticket, but when you get home, you can mail in the original ticket for a refund.
What if my ticket is damaged?

If the ticket is damaged, you should either send or bring the ticket back to CraveTickets at 19 West 21st Street, New York, NY 10010 (Joonbug Offices, Room 205) and request a replacement ticket. Do not try to submit a damaged ticket to the Ticket Takers on the night of the event.
What is an After Party ticket?

An After Party is a special party that starts as other parties end. A few venues secure a special license to sell drinks after the normal local last call rules would have been in effect. See the ticket details for events in your city to identify whether there are any After Parties. If you have purchased your ticket on our website and as part of your ticket amenities you are entitled to complimentary admission to a local After Party, all you need do is keep the ticket stub from your regular party and bring it with you to show to the Ticket Taker at the After Party. Make sure the Ticket Taker at your first event hands you back your stub and that you put it in a safe place. If you lose your stub you will be asked to pay the full admission to the After Party at the door.
What is an Late Admission ticket?

An After 12:30am Admission Ticket is a special ticket for individuals who want to arrive after midnight and benefit from the amenities of the event at a reduced price. They may be having a leisurely dinner or may wish to start their evening later than others. This is an ideal ticket for those who want to arrive late and stay until close. However, it is important to note that if you arrive before 12:30am, you will not gain admission. This ticket is only good from 12:30 am until close.
What is an Ultra VIP ticket?

An Ultra VIP Ticket entitles a ticket holder to reserve a table and receive bottle service and some cases (see your ticket details) cocktail service. Ultra VIP tickets are offered to groups that meet the table minimum and do not exceed the table maximum for a particular table. When you go to the shopping cart to purchase your ticket, you will be advised of the table sizes available for your group and you will also be advised that by purchasing the first ticket for a table you are also guaranteeing that your group will fill the table. In other words, you are guaranteeing that if the first purchaser selects a table with a minimum of 6, that you and the other guests in your group will purchase at least 6 Ultra VIP tickets to fill the table. You will be issued a group code and every time a purchase is made on the code it will link that order to your table. You can go online and register in the My Planner section of our website and using your group code track all the ticket purchases made for your table.
What is a Platinum Ticket?

A Platinum VIP ticket entitles you to all the General Admission amenities and bottle service amenities of an Ultra VIP ticket. In addition, you have pre-purchased additional bottles prior to the event. For consideration, for this advanced bottle service purchase, you will receive preferential table location and speedy admission at the door.
What is a seated VIP ticket?

A Seated VIP ticket guarantees a single seat for the individual ticket purchasers. The Seated VIP ticket holder must get their drinks at the open bar. There is no bottle or cocktail services at a Seated VIP tables. The advantage of this ticket type is two fold: (1) you have a seat while General Admission ticket holders do not. (2) You can book as few or as many seated tickets as you like. There is no table minimum or maximum for Seated VIP.
What is a VIP access ticket?

At many nightlife events, the VIP areas are exclusive and will be monitored by Security Staff to prevent non-VIP ticket holders from accessing these areas. Ticket holders who purchase a VIP Access ticket (when offered) will receive a wristband that will permit them entrance and access to these VIP areas. They will be able to use the area, such as a VIP Open Bar or the dance floor, but will not be entitled to VIP seating, just access to the VIP area.

Do I need ID to enter the bar?

How should I dress?

Leave your formal gown and sport coat at home. Dress code for all bar crawls is relaxed and fancy-free. However, if you are attending a themed crawl, costume is suggested.
Is there any music?

Music will vary per bar. Each bar has their own music system whether it be a live DJ, iPod, or juke box.
Should I tip the bartenders?

Gratuity is not included in your ticket price. Most crawlers are happy to leave something extra for their friendly bartender.
What are drink specials?

Drink specials refer to discounts on domestic drafts, well drinks and shots offered for a limited time exclusively to our crawlers. Specials may vary from bar-to- bar. Drink special details are updated on the website daily and are available at your registration site when you start crawlin.
What does my ticket include?

Your ticket includes: No cover charges at participating locations, the official Bar Crawls wristband, Bar Crawls cup, Bar Crawls map and depending on the Bar Crawl a free t-shirt and/or free swag (limited quantities.)
What does the map entail?

Your customized BarCrawls.com map will list all participating venues and addresses, drink specials, and drink special hours. You will receive the map at your registration site.
What if I lose my wristband?

If you lose your wristband it is no different than losing an entry ticket to a concert or event. If you wish to continue crawling, you must purchase a replacement wristband at one of the registration locations. Therefore we strongly recommend that you guard your wristband in order to ensure entry to each participating bar without paying the cover and eligibility to receive all drink specials.
What is a bar crawl?

A bar crawl is a social event held at multiple bars during happy hours, on special holidays or on a given weekend day. It is a non-stop party where you can travel from bar-to-bar enjoying drink specials at each locations. A bar crawl is a great opportunity to congregate with friends and experience not just one party, but many parties.
What is will call?

The term "Will Call" means you will call for your physical ticket at a box office and in the case of a bar crawl you will call for your admission bracelet and crawl contraband at the registration site. Bring your email e-ticket confirmation in order to benefit from your advance online purchase. Make sure you bring your charge card and photo ID.
